What is the WOR reference card?
Put simply, it is the Works Council Act in brief. On a conveniently plasticised little reference card. Do you want to receive a copy?
I hand out some 150 WOR reference cards to council members yearly. The reaction I get in almost all cases is: ‘Now that’s convenient’
On one side, the WOR reference reference card has an overview of all advisory and consent matters: Article 25 WOR request for advice (Dutch) and Article27 WOR request for consent (Dutch). The short descriptions tell you which subjects the Bestuurder must address regarding the Works Council.
The reverse side of the WOR reference card has a brief diagram of the organisation’s decision-making process, and at what point the Works Council is involved according the WCA: when the proposed decision is established. Often, organisations/Bestuurders decide that the Works Council should be involved in the decision-making process earlier. In that case, the WOR reference card will help; it contains several tips to consider.
What is the purpose and benefit of a brief WOR overview?
It is a small plastic reference card (A6 size) to carry around with you: you can bring it to every Works Council meeting and every Consultation Meeting. This way, you immediately know whether Article 25 WOR (Dutch) or Article 27 WOR (Dutch) might apply. The main advantage is that you can respond to the Bestuurder during the Consultation Meeting: “I’m not sure, but I think what you just mentioned requires consent. Shall we investigate that together?”
You have the information you need to respond immediately. This reference card is also helpful for the Bestuurder and the HR manager. You can request more than one copy (see below) so you can distribute them to other parties in your organisation.

Note: Please note that we are a Dutch organisation and that all our information is originally composed in Dutch. For the benefit of our English-speaking customers we have translated some of our online information. We are still in the process of translating even more of our information. It could therefore be that you will come across Dutch pages on CT2.nl. Please contact us if you would like more information.
