Karen Maessen has been working in employee participation since 2012. She is a legal expert in the field of employee participation law, working in many different industries. Her aim is to make employee participation stand out to ensure full employee participation. This goal requires more than knowledge of legislation and regulations and experience in the field. The scope is broader because it is also about people and mutual relationships. The focus is therefore on cooperation.
With her colleagues at the Voort Advocaten | Mediators in Tilburg, Karen forms a strong and driven team. Practical, quick and accessible.
Karen Maessen is also an author for the legal journal ‘Rechtspraak voor Medezeggenschap’, and she regularly writes for ‘OR-Informatie’ and other journals. She has also written several books, including ‘OR & Collectief Ontslag’ (on the Works Council and collective discharge). She teaches courses on various topics, such as occupational health, employee participation structures and the normalisation of the legal status of officials.
Karen regularly collaborates with Inge and Sander. She also contributes to publications on this website.
